Celebrate 75th Anniversary of the Airborne

Make plans to visit the Airborne & Special Operations Museum for National Airborne Day - August 15

A very special event happens each August in downtown Fayetteville. At the Airborne & Special Operations Museum, Fort Bragg invites the public to join paratroopers to celebrate the anniversary of first U.S. soldiers to jump out of ”perfectly good airplanes” on National Airborne Day. Mark your calendars to attend on August 15!

This year’s event promises to be special - as it is the 75th anniversary of the first set of parachute jumps and the 15th Anniversary of the opening of the Airborne & Special Operations Museum.

We’ve attended several times, and this is a special event. The Airborne Museum’s parade field provides a great view of the Golden Knights’ demonstration jumps. Here’s short video of a jump/landing to the tune of “Proud to Be An American.” VIDEO
