Dr. Fitch Named Science Division Chair At Fayetteville Technical Community College

Dr. Fitch earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a master's degree in biology.

Fayetteville Technical Community College is pleased to announce that Dr. Christina Fitch has been named Science Division Chair for the Division of Math & Sciences. In this capacity, Dr. Fitch will oversee the biology and physical science departments and take lead responsibility for course offerings and quality assurance in all astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, and physics classes available at FTCC. Dr. Fitch will also coordinate growth opportunities within the Associate in Science degree program by working closely with leadership across curriculum programs to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers, talent development, and alignment between FTCC programs and employment opportunities.

Dr. Fitch joined the Biology Department at FTCC in the Fall of 2010. During the Summer of 2014, she became the Biology Department Chair, responsible for overseeing the operations of the Biology Department. Dr. Fitch earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a master’s degree in biology and a doctorate in interdisciplinary biological sciences from East Carolina University.
