Honor Veterans in one of the most Patriotic Communities in the US

Although the communities of Cumberland County honor active duty and military veterans all year long, but Veteran's Day is a special time!

Although the communities of Cumberland County honor active duty and military veterans all year long, but Veteran’s Day is a special time! Throughout the community, special events on and around Veteran’s Day pay special tribute to those that have served and those that serve the United States today .

Saturday, NOVEMBER 7th
At 10 am, join residents of Fayetteville and Cumberland for the Cumberland County Veterans Day Parade. Many past and present service members, ROTC groups, bands and organizations that serve the military participate in this massive parade. The parade runs down Hay Street in downtown Fayetteville. It starts at 10 am. www.fayveteransdayparade.com

Following the parade, the City of Fayetteville’s Veterans Day Ceremony commences at North Carolina Veterans Park. The ceremony starts at 12:30 pm. North Carolina Veterans Park honors all North Carolina Veterans from all branches of service. www.NCVeteransPark.org.

While attending the Veterans Day Ceremony at NC Veterans Park, you may notice a field of flags at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum. Each flag stands in tribute to a veteran or a service member. The opening ceremony for the museum’s “7th Annual Salute to Veterans” starts at 1:30 p.m. www.AsomF.org

Nearby from 12 pm – 3 pm, the Fayetteville Area Transportation & Local History Museum hosts a Veterans Day Car Show. Museum grounds will be packed with antique, vintage and late-model customized cars.

Wednesday, NOVEMBER 11th
At 10 am, the Town of Spring Lake pays tribute to Veterans with a Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Park , which is located on the corner of Ruth and Main Streets. www.Spring-Lake.org

Hope Mills holds a Veterans Day Ceremony at 3 pm at Hope Mills Veterans Memorial. www.TownofHopeMills.org.

Rolling Thunder NC Chapter 1 performs a POW/MIA Missing Man Table Ceremony at 5:30 pm at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum. Immediately after the ceremony, a Flag Retirement Ceremony will be performed by Boy Scout Troop 6. The community is encouraged to bring flags that are ready to retire. www.AsomF.org
