The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says search crews have recovered the body of Cameron Draughon, 17, a Hope Mills teen who went missing Wednesday afternoon while swimming in Rockfish Creek.
Authorities said a friend on the bank tossed pizza at the swimmers about 4:30 p.m. when Draughon went under to retrieve it and did not resurface.
Dive teams had been searching for the teen until late in the night on Wednesday.
