H&R Block in Fayetteville to Host Block Party

For Immediate Release: March 20, 2014

Fayetteville, NC – H&R Block (NYSE: HRB) in Fayetteville is hosting a free “Block Party” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday March 22, 2014 at 700 S. Reilly Rd, Suite 112, Fayetteville. There will be chances to win raffle prizes, including a table for four in the End Zone at a Cape Fear Heroes Professional Indoor Football game. The “Block Party” will also include free food and giveaways. There will be local businesses in attendance including Papa John’s, MiCasita’s, PDQ, Cape Fear Heroes, Pizza Hut, Mary Kay, Thirty-One and more. DJ Tommy will provide musical entertainment. H&R Block Tax Pros will be on hand to answer tax questions and make appointments for tax return preparations.

A recent H&R Block study shows that when Americans prepare tax returns themselves, about 1 in 5 leave money on the table by not claiming all of the tax credits and deductions for which they qualify, among other things. These inaccuracies contribute to more than $1 billion left on the table in unclaimed money.
