Senior Systems Analyst (Agile)

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to work as part of our Application Development team. You will collaborate on a variety of full-cycle development tasks in an Agile development environment, including requirement and specification analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Analyst analyzes business and technical requirements, and/or application issues, determines impact on application(s) and/or interfacing systems, and proposes high-level solution(s). The application scope includes existing applications/systems, 3rd Party applications, and enterprise applications as applicable.  The Analyst develops technical specifications for system functionalities and documents approach, impacts and pseudo-code for translating business stories/requirements into relevant unit/system/integration/interface testing scenarios for the testing team.  The role works closely with Business Analysts, Enterprise Architecture (EA), UX, and the software development and Infrastructure Engineering functions. 

Your specific duties will include:

• Analyzes business requirements/user stories for impact(s) on existing applications as well as integrated applications (in-house and 3rd Party).  This includes non-functional requirements.
• Working in conjunction with the Lead Developer(s), proposes high-level design solutions that meet the business requirements/user stories, is aligned to application(s) roadmap/blueprint, EA Architecture, is compliant with SOX/Privacy policies, and other design or ELT standards.
• Works closely with the business analysts, software development, UX, Enterprise Architecture, and other teams to develop technical functional and non-functional requirements
• Drives solution evaluation and selection decisions, buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case;
• Creates estimates for solution delivery including expertise to validate third party estimates and hence ensure value for money;
• Reviews and assures suitability of subsequent designs and specifications delivered by third party suppliers;
• Guides and supports others in the development and documentation of IS/IT architectures for complex and business critical projects;
• Escalates to Enterprise Architects architecture design issues related to possible alternative solutions;
• Reverse Engineer code/data/schema to develop system/application functional documentation
