Man Charged with Seriously Injuring Girlfriend with Hot Grease

The female was sent to UNC Hospitals Burn Center for treatment.

 

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives have charged a St. Pauls man, after he flung hot grease from a frying pan onto his girlfriend. 

Carlie Jason Tyler, 34, of 3863 Chicken Foot Road, was arrested shortly after the incident, at the home he shared with 39-year old Kimberly Denise Faulkner.

Tyler was placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.  He is charged with assault inflicting serious bodily injury and assault on a female.

Faulkner has been sent to UNC Hospitals Burn Center in Chapel Hill for treatment.  She suffers from 2nd degree burns to her face, chest, arms and hands.

Tyler will make a first court appearance this afternoon in the Detention Center courtroom at 2:30 p.m.
