Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

The public's help is needed to identify suspect.

On August 2, 2013 at approximately 1:27 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery of the BP Gas Station located at 101 N. Reilly Rd.

The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, retrieved a can of beer from the cooler, approached the counter and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect went around the counter, produced a box cutter and threatened the clerk.
The clerk complied with the armed suspect’s request and upon receiving the property; the suspect fled the business on foot. As the suspect was fleeing the business, he assaulted an elderly citizen who was inside the business. The suspect was last seen on foot running behind the rear of the business. The suspect is described as: 

• Black Male
• Short haircut
• 25 to 35 years of age
• 6’0 in height, medium build
• Last seen wearing a black t-shirt turned inside out

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the attached surveillance images. A copy of the video surveillance has been posted to the Fayetteville Police Dept's youtube page at www.FPDBluelightTV.com.
