Recognize Him? Family Dollar Thief Sought for Armed Robbery
Law enforcement are seeking the identity of this male suspect.
On July 21, 2013 at approximately 8:39 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the Family Dollar located at 3436 Bragg Boulevard in reference to a report of a robbery.
The investigation revealed that an unknown black male entered the business, perused through the store for a few moments and then proceeded to the checkout to complete a purchase. While the clerk was completing the transaction, the suspect went around the counter, placed an object in the clerk’s back and began demanding that she relinquish control of money in the register. During the course of the robbery, the suspect would also strike the clerk in the head. The clerk was not seriously injured and the suspect fled from the business on foot towards the direction of Carol Street.
