Cumberland County Fair / September 11-20 at the Crown Complex
The Annual Cumberland County Fair is back in 2015 featuring vendors, live entertainment, local artisans, petting zoo and all traditional fair fun Cumberland County Fair has to offer.

25th Annual Greek Festival / September 11-13 at the Hellenic Center
Come out and celebrate our Greek Community’s heritage and culture by taking part in the 25th Annual Greek Festival. Enjoy homemade Greek food to include Gyros, Pasticcio, Lamb, Chicken, Greek Salads and Pizza. The ladies of the Church prepare homemade pastries and breads. Shop for Greek specialty items to include food, Greek Vendors with clothing, jewelry and art. Lots of great music, kids activities, Greek wine tasting, cooking classes and Greek Dance Troupes.

Festival of Yesteryear/ September 12 at the Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex
Focusing on the Colonial and Revolutionary War periods, this festival features costumed re-enactors demonstrating various aspects of daily life including medicine, music, toys and games, silhouette drawing, and militia drills. Be sure to visit Apprentice Alley, where children can participate and learn a variety of trades through hands on crafts and activities. Take a photo in our pillory, a wooden frame with holes for your head and hands that was a popular punishment in colonial days.This event is held annually and in partnership with Fayetteville’s Lafayette Birthday Celebration honoring Revoluntionary War hero Marquis de Lafayette. Concessions will be available.

9th Annual Lafayette Birthday Celebration / September 11-12
Festivities include an exhibit of Lafayette artifacts, a concert of French music, a tour of the Lafayette trail, a day of living history events at the Museum of the Cape Fear, fencing, special sales and ice cream and cake.

Renaissance Faire / September 12-13 at Smith Lake Recreation Center
