Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives have charged a registered sex offender with multiple child related sex crimes.
Ronald Ashby, 54, of 870 Ridge Road Fayetteville was taken into custody after a search warrant was executed on his home and computers.
Detectives found in his possession a collection of pornography showing children of various ages, engaging in sexual activities.
Ashby is charged with nine counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor and nine counts of 3rd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $145,000 secured bond. Ashby will make a first court appearance on these latest charges on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in the Detention Center courtroom.
