1. Crown Expo Center Recruit-A-Vet Employment Fair

The job fair takes place for military veterans Monday, July 29th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at The Crown Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Over 250 businesses have been invited to attend the employment fair to answer questions, accept resumes and interview applicants. Details of the employment fair are below. This event is open to members of the military, veterans, and the media.

2. Military Job Fair

Wednesday, July 31 at The Fort Bragg Club on Armistice Rd. from 9a.m. to 2p.m. hosted by N.C. Civilian Jobs.com

3. Learn to Swim

Registration for the last Learn to Swim session of the summer opened today and will remain open through July 31. The program is for children ages 6 months to 17 years.

4. Our Legacy, Our Democracy

The Democracy NC Summer team of 2013 is hosting a Civil Rights Exhibit- of then and now. Looking back at the activist of yesterday and today, “Our legacy, Our Destiny.” Come out on the July 30th from 6p.m.-8 p.m. at the Cumberland County Main Library- Pate Room, on 300 Maiden Lane.

5.  Snakes Alive 

On Tuesday, Jul 30 2:00p to 3:00p.m. at Mazarick Park in Fayetteville. Come out and see North Carolina's 36 species of animals. Join a park ranger to learn about these often feared and misunderstood reptiles. Please call 910-433-1575 to pre-register but class size is limited to 30 participants. All ages welcome and it is free.
