Tooth Fairy Sightings at N.C. Missions of Mercy Dental Clinic

First class treatment for area residents without dental coverage.

In a tough economy, dental insurance is not a top priority for many families conveyed those waiting in the line wrapped around the Crown Expo Center.

Area dental professionals provided their services for free on Friday through Saturday, July 27, to residents for the second annual N.C. Mission of Mercy's free dental clinic.

Rosa Castruita, a mother of five has neglected her tooth ache for two years, taking aspirin to relieve the ache. "I'm so grateful to have my tooth looked at today, this is a blessing," she said."

Services provided included teeth fillings, cleanings, extractions and partial front teeth dentures by volunteer dentists, hygienists and oral surgeons.

The weekend event was held jointly through The CARE Clinic and Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina also supplied a mobile clinic for oral X-Rays.
