- Saturday, Aug. 10 from 11a.m. to noon the 2nd Brigade Combat Team jumps onto Fort Bragg's Normandy Drop Zone. The jumps are open to the public and a spectacular site to behold. Bring a camera, chair or blanket and water bottle. It's a highlight living near Fort Bragg.
- Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10a.m. to 11a.m., Fort Bragg's monthly outdoor education program at Smith Lake is "Ants on Parade." This free, Family-friendly event is held at Pavilion D. Learn the characteristics of an insect and observe ant behavior. Kids will even get to participate in an interactive activity.
