XVIII Airborne Corps Welcomes New Chief of Staff

FORT BRAGG, NC —XVIII Airborne Corps hosted a welcome ceremony for Col. Robert D. Morschauser, the XVIII Airborne Corps arriving Chief of Staff, on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at the Fort Bragg flagpole.

Morschauser has served over 26 years, beginning his military career in 1987 when he was commissioned through the Officer Candidate School in Fort Benning, Georgia.  His most recent assignment was Chief of Staff of the 82d Airborne Division.

No stranger to Fort Bragg, Morschauser also served here as the brigade commander for 18th Fires Brigade. Earlier in his career, he commanded Battery C, 1st Battalion, 321st Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, and served as the operations officer for both 3rd Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment and the18th Field Artillery Brigade.

 Morschauser has also served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a Joint Special Operations Task Force Liaison Officer to Headquarters, the International Security Assistance Force.
