- Greensboro, NC. 10k at 7:15 p.m. 5k at 7:30 p.m. Firecracker race (1 mile) at 7:35 p.m.
Tuesday, July 4
- Fourth of July Parade, Pie-Eating Contest and Fireworks
- Downtown Mount Airy. Reading of the Declaration of Independence. Parade, activities, live music and more. Evening ends with a fireworks show.

- Ole-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration
- Morehead High School Panthers Stadium. 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Food, live bands and a fireworks display at the end.
