What were your reasons for becoming a member? I wanted to support a local business I believe in. My daughter is 3 years old and the GSC allows me a safe environment for her to learn about various things. From animals all around the world, weather systems, dinosaurs, environmental protection & more.
What impact has the GSC made on you/your family? My daughter has developed a love of penguins and sharks. She could play in the aquarium area all day. Every time we venture to the GSC we use it as a learning opportunity. From saying “excuse me” while maneuvering around other patrons to the importance of throwing away our trash properly to the long, long lives of giant tortoises.
What do you feel is the biggest impact the GSC has on the community? An awareness of our impact on the planet. From learning about plastics in the oceans to the circle of life. There is a connection with every human, animal and plant. What we do, what we consume, how we handle the packaging, etc. affects environments around the world.
