How does the GSC positively impact individuals, families and communities? We think it’s best to ask YOU that question!

Read on to meet GSC Member Mercend and learn about what makes the GSC so special to her.

How many years have you been a GSC member? Less than 1.

What were your reasons for becoming a member? I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I needed a place to get some exercise and get away from my house. I had a zoo membership in Memphis a while ago so it really was not much of a question if I should join.

What impact has the GSC made on you/your family? Gsc has so many areas to explore that it keeps the wonder for me. It also gives me ideas for painting.

What do you feel is the biggest impact the GSC has on the community? I am fairly new to this community so I don’t fully know but it seems like GSC has a big impact on teaching children.
