What were your reasons for becoming a member? I grew up going to the Science Center on school trips and I still remember looking up at the T-Rex and eating rock candy on the bus ride home. When we first brought our children I had no idea how much the Center had grown, but was so relieved you still have the T-Rex! We are members because we love animals, dinosaurs, and the ocean. There is no better place to spend the day as a family. On our last visit our family had a chicken and a peacock join us on our picnic. You just can’t beat that type memory making!
What impact has the GSC made on you/your family? It encourages our children’s love of animals and dinosaurs. We also take walks and pick up trash as a family and talk about saving the ocean and a big part of that conversation came from the aquarium.
What do you feel is the biggest impact the GSC has on the community? Anything that encourages children to love nature, the outdoors, and learning makes a community stronger.
