Guilford County Government: Fourth Of July Fireworks Return To Northeast Park July 3

Guilford County Parks will host the 14th annual Fireworks Extravaganza at Northeast Park, 3441 Northeast Park Dr., Gibsonville. Now that North Carolina has lifted all indoor and outdoor capacity requirements and masks and social distancing are no longer required, the annual Fourth of July event will take place on Saturday, July 3. The fireworks were canceled in 2020 as part of pandemic restrictions.

This year’s event will feature a longer firework display with bigger shells. The fireworks are scheduled to start at approximately 9:30 p.m. and admission is $5 per car, $1 per walk-up (advance tickets sales are not available). There will be food trucks, music, mini-golf and carnival rides. Guests can also visit the aquatic center during the day.

“After a year of suffering, it’s time to finally come together for some family-friendly fun,” said Dwight Godwin, Parks Operations Manager. “We’re eager to welcome everyone back to enjoy the kind of summer activities Guilford County Parks is known for”.
