Kayak and canoe rentals return to Hagan-Stone Park, 5920 Hagan-Stone Park Rd., Pleasant Garden beginning May 1. The park will offer rentals May 1 – Sept. 5 on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“This is a new and exciting recreational opportunity for people who don't own a boat and want a safe, enjoyable, and convenient experience on the water,” said Anthony Ellison, Park Supervisor. “We’ve made several upgrades and improvements around the park so we can get everyone safely back to the activities they love.”

Renters must be 18 years of age or older; person under 16 may not operate a kayak or canoe and must always be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Fishing from boats will be allowed on any part of the reservoir except in areas designated or restricted (All NC Wildlife laws must be followed). Swimming, water skiing, jet skis, and gasoline motors are strictly prohibited. Rentals are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and the park will not take reservations.
Kayak and Canoe Rates:
$3 for 2-hour Private Kayak & Canoe Launch, $6 for 4-hour Private Kayak & Canoe Launch
$4 for 2-hour Single Kayak & Canoe Launch, $8 for 4-hour Single Kayak & Canoe Launch
$5 for 2-hour Tandem Kayak & Canoe Launch, $10 for 4-hour Tandem Kayak & Canoe Launch
Guilford County Parks also offers canoes, kayaks and jon boats rentals at Southwest Park, 6309 Southwest Park Dr. The marina is open Wednesday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
