A Love Letter To Tom
A wife reflects on all the happiness she's shared with her husband over their 52 years of marriage.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Diana Muller’s love letter to her husband, Tom:
“We used to live on Long Island and retired to North Carolina for the warm weather. We have been married 52 years, have two children and three wonderful grandchildren. My Valentine’s Day message is simple:
Dear husband,

When you come to one of the many moments in life when you must give an account of yourself, provide a ledger of what you have been, and done, and meant to the world, don't discount that you filled my days with joy, a joy that does not hunger for more and more, but rests, satisfied. Today, right now, that is an enormous accomplishment.
You shared with me me so much -- children, a home, a career, security and 52 years! The love and caring we shared all these years, it seems like it was just yesterday that we met! I treasure the days we spend together now and remember the hundreds of wonderful days we spent raising our children. Have a loving Valentine’s Day!
