GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro men’s golf will close out fall play when the Spartans host their annual fall tournament, the Grandover Collegiate, Oct. 27-28.

During the tournament, the Spartans will be looking to defend their team championship after taking first place honors last year with a 10-stroke victory.

Senior Jonathan Brightwell has led the Spartans throughout the fall to date, as he's won individual medalist honors twice and finished in the top-10 in all four tournaments UNCG has appeared in. He currently leads the SoCon in stroke average at 69.58.

Already this year, the Charlotte native has collected three Southern Conference awards this year (two SoCon Men's Golfer of the Week and one SoCon Men's Golfer of the Month honors).

Juniors Nick Lyerly, Justin Emmons and Zack Swanson have also participated in all 12 rounds of play so far this fall.

UNCG Will Be Joined By…

UNCG will be joined during the tournament by Penn State, Virginia Tech, Villanova, Seton Hall, Rutgers, VCU, Chattanooga, Louisiana-Monroe, Elon, Ohio, Appalachian State and Duke.
