WILMINGTON, N.C. - UNCG women's tennis claims three bracket titles this Friday and Saturday, while competing at the UNCW Fall Tournament in Wilmington.
The Spartans opened up the weekend with singles play, where both Erika Barquero and Hanna Giddings delivered championship wins in their respective brackets.

Competing in the Ocean Flight, Barquero went through Campbell's Cutera and Marthinsen of UNCW in straight sets before facing the Camels' Castillo in the final. Barquero would cede the opening set 7-5 but would come back to defeat her opponent by scores of 6-3 and 6-2 to take the match.
Giddings recorded a championship victory in the Wave Flight, defeating Mitchell of Morgan State and Campbell's Regan before running into teammate Brianna Gomez in the final. The redshirt freshman defeated Gomez in straight sets, wrapping up her singles play by scores of 6-1 and 6-3.
Eugenia Camacho and Ariana Chan each delivered opening round victories in the Beach Flight, while the former also grabbed a pair of wins in the consolation bracket.
Over in doubles play, Barquero and Giddings combined for a bracket championship win, defeating three different Campbell pairings by scores of 6-1, 6-3 and 7-5.
Chan and Sophia Adams would record a 6-2 win over Horn and Marthinsen of UNCW in that same bracket, while Gomez and Tayah Cross dropped Morgan State's Santiago and Wallace in the Doubles Round Robin Wave Flight.
COMING UP NEXT
With the fall season coming to an end, the Spartans will be on hiatus until January 25th, where UNCW will make its way to Greensboro to open the spring campaign.
