Greenville Man Killed In Hit-And-Run
Police are searching for a light colored Chrysler 200 in connection with the hit-and-run.

GREENVILLE, NC — Police are searching for a light colored Chrysler 200 with damage to the right front corner after a hit-and-run early Saturday morning that left a 25-year-old man dead.
According to police, at around 1:15 a.m., police responded to a hit-and-run on North Memorial Drive near W. Gum Road. Police say witnesses saw a light colored car hit a pedestrian who was standing near the right turn lane on the northbound side of the road.
The car left the scene going northbound on Memorial Drive, police say.

The pedestrian was killed at the scene. He was identified as 25-year-old Charles Benjamin Smith Jr., of Greenville.
Based on the debris found on the road, police believe the car is a 2011-2014 light colored Chrysler 200 with damage to the right front corner. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information can contact 252-329-4300. A reward of up to $2,500 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
