Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games To Host Basketball State Finals

Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games in cooperation with Pitt County Community Schools and Recreation, ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness, Mid-East Area Agency on Aging, Greenville Recreation and Parks Department, and the College of Health and Human Performance will be hosting the N.C. Senior Games 26th Annual State Finals 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. Over 50 teams (men’s and women’s) from across the state will be coming to Greenville on November 8-10, 2019 to vie for gold, silver, and bronze medals in eight age categories: 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+, and 80+. All activities and games will be held in the ECU Student Recreation Center.

  • Friday, November 8, 10:30am - 7:00pm (Team Play)
  • Saturday, November 9, 9:00am - 7:00pm (Team Play & Championship Games)
  • Sunday, November 10, 9:00am - 2:00pm (Championship Games)

Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games will have 8 teams competing in the Tournament. They include three women’s teams: 50+ Pitt County Rising Stars, 55+ Pitt County Shooting Stars, 65+ Pitt County Soul Survivors, and five men’s teams: 50+ Pitt County BPD, 50+ Pitt County BPD II, 50+ County Boys, 60+ BPD, and 65+ Shooting Stars.

The tournament is free and open to the public; with everyone encouraged to attend with family and friends to support for both local and visiting teams from across the state. A free Senior Games shuttle will be provided from the Greenville Mall parking lot behind the Belk Men’s Store on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
