The event, organized by the City and the Greenville Jaycees, attracted approximately 2,500 people who enjoyed live music by The Dickens, marshmallow roasting, multiple food and drink vendors, a green screen photo booth, and the drop of a custom-made glass emerald at midnight. Fireworks followed the emerald drop to send attendees off into the new year with a bang.
Local sponsors helped make everything possible, and organizers say they are looking forward to making the celebration an annual event.
