'I Was Shaking': YouTube Star Tips Greenville Server $10K
Alaina Custer thought it was a joke when someone ordered two waters and then left her a $10,000 tip. It wasn't a joke.

GREENVILLE, NC — It must've been a joke, thought Alaina Custer a restaurant server in Greenville and East Carolina University. A man came into Sup Dogs, ordered a couple waters, took a few sips, thanked her and left a stack of $100 bills on the table — $10,000 in cash.
But that's exactly what happened Saturday, restaurant owner Brett Oliverio told The News & Observer newspaper. You might ask: "Who would do such a thing?"
“Ended up being a YouTube star, Mr. Beast,” the restaurant owner told the newspaper. “They filmed the server’s reaction as she picked up the money. Crazy.”

Custer took home some of the massive tip, but to give some of it to other staffers, too, the newspaper reported. She said she was stunned when it first happened.
“I literally didn’t think it was real,” Custer told the newspaper. “I picked it up and it was a giant stack of hundreds. I was shaking and just kept asking Brett, ‘What is this?’ I thought someone was playing a joke on me.”

The YouTube star also left her a note on a napkin, she said. The message was simple: "Thanks for the delicious water."
