Thanksgiving Dinner Price In North Carolina: It May Surprise You

If you're planning on grabbing a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings today, here's how much you can expect to pay.

There's some great news if you plan on purchasing items today for a Thanksgiving Day feast: the American Farm Bureau Federation says in its 32nd annual price survey of Thanksgiving Day dinners that the average cost of this year's feast is $49.12, which is a 75-cent drop from last year's average.

The shopping list the Farm Bureau used includes turkey, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls with butter, peas, cranberries, a veggie tray, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and coffee and milk, "all in quantities sufficient to serve a family of 10 with plenty for leftovers," the statement reads.

But what about in North Carolina? We used the Farm Bureau's list as close as we could to try to figure out what you can expect to pay.
