$100,000 Powerball Lottery Win Reported In Iredell County
The winning $3 Power Play ticket was sold in Iredell County, according to NC Education Lottery officials. Here's where the ticket was sold.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A winning $100,000 Powerball lottery ticket was sold in Iredell County, North Carolina Education Lottery officials announced Thursday. The winning ticket was one of three Powerball prizes awarded in North Carolina Wednesday evening.
The winning Iredell County lottery ticket was sold at the Kangaroo Express convenience store on Turnersburg Highway in Statesville, according to NCEL.
"The $3 Power Play ticket matched the numbers on four of the white balls and the Powerball," NCEL said. "Its $50,000 prize was doubled when the 2X multiplier was drawn."

Other big wins reported May 19 include a $1 million ticket purchased in Harnett County that matched all five white balls in the drawing and a $50,000 ticket purchased at a Burke County Walmart.
“Having three big wins in one drawing makes for a lucky night for North Carolina,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “It’s exciting to see.”

Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes, NCEL said.
