2021 Land Of Oz Autumn Festival: How To Buy Tickets
The quirky Wizard of Oz theme park in Beech Mountain, NC is hosting its annual autumn festival for three weekends in September.

NORTH CAROLINA — If taking a trip down the yellow brick road is on your bucket list, now is the time to start planning a trip to Land of Oz in Beech Mountain.
The small, family-owned, Wizard of Oz-based theme park, which Travel and Leisure has called "eerily amazing," is hosting its annual Autumn in Oz event for three weekends in September this year.
Dates for the festival include Sept. 10-12, Sept 17-19 and Sept. 24-26. Tickets for the event are now on sale, however they typically sell out quickly.

Here's what the park says about the fall event: "See 8 shows throughout the park, meet your favorite Ozzy characters, shop the food & craft vendors, enjoy our petting zoo, and visit our Over the Rainbow Observation Deck! Open to the public for the first time in decades with top of the world views at over 5,506 feet above sea level!"
For many visitors, the history of the theme park is as much of a draw as the immersive movie schtick. Land of Oz opened in 1970, reportedly drawing visitors from all over the country. Actress Debbie Reynolds was on hand for the ribbon cutting, along with her daughter Carrie Fisher, according to the park's site.

While the park may be rooted in fantasy, the yellow brick road winding up Beech Mountain is definitely real. It's constructed of 44,000 actual yellow bricks, Travel and Leisure reported.
Tickets for the Autumn in Oz festival are $55 and may be purchased here.
