2021 Mooresville 'Dog Mayor' Contest: How To Enter

Does your pooch have what it takes to be Mooresville Dog Mayor? Here's how to enter this new contest celebrating the towns new dog park.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville will soon have a new mayor — one who will need an occasional walk and probably appreciate a good scratch behind the ear and a treat or two.

In celebration of the town's new Officer Jordan H. Sheldon Memorial Dog Park that opens June 5, the Mooresville Youth Council is sponsoring a "Dog Mayor" contest.

The new dog park is located at 247 Cornelius Road in Mooresville, and honors the memory of Mooresville Police Department K-9 officer Jordan Sheldon, who was shot and killed during a traffic stop in May 2019.
