7 Mooresville Runners Finish Boston Marathon

MOORESVILLE, NC -- More than 27,000 runners competed in the Boston Marathon April 17, and seven of them were from Mooresville.

Marathon entries for Wesley Bryant, Greg Sheehan, Michael Reitmeyer, Alden Kessenich, Matt Williams, Dan Tyler and Christina Depriest all listed Mooresville as their hometown. Here’s a look at how they finished and how they compared with others in their age and gender group.

Race organizers reported that citizens of 99 countries participated in Monday’s race. Of the 27,221 racers that started the marathon, 97 percent finished.
