MOORESVILLE, NC — Health inspectors recently graded seven Mooresville area restaurant kitchens. One kitchen was found to have 10 violations, including a dirty slicer and a bucket of sanitizer on the food prep table, according to health inspection reports.

At The Black Eye’d Pea Family Restaurant, for example, a May 2 inspection documented 10 violations, including the need for more handwashing, uncooked meat and over cooked or ready-to-eat food, a slicer with a dirty blade and a bucket of what looked to be sanitizer sitting on the food prep table.

Eight violations were documented during a May 2 inspection of Big Bite’z Grill, including several food items stored at improper temperatures and areas that were in need of cleaning.
