Fog Advisory In Effect In Iredell As Parts Of NC Ready For Snow
The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Iredell County Monday evening. Here's what you need to know.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Iredell County Monday evening, and warned of hazardous driving conditions throughout the region due to low visibility.
The news comes as parts of North Carolina readied for snow later in the week.
The fog advisory, which was issued for upstate South Carolina and the piedmont and foothills of North Carolina, will remain in effect until 1 a.m. Jan. 26, NWS said.

The soggy weather is set to continue throughout the Charlotte metro region into Wednesday, with showers and thick cloud cover expected every day, forecasters said.
The dreary weather will lead to snow in western North Carolina, according to North Carolina Emergency Management.

"Rain will begin to spread into the region once more from the south Wednesday morning, becoming more widespread by the afternoon," NCEM said, via Twitter. "Around 1” of snow is expected to accumulate in the west with a couple inches possible at higher elevations. Snow showers will taper off Thursday."

New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
