Heavy Rain, High Winds, Possible Hail: Mooresville Forecast
The Mooresville area could see some severe weather Tuesday evening. Here's what forecasters are predicting.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Rainy weather is headed to Mooresville and could turn severe by evening, with possible high winds, hail and isolated tornadoes, the National Weather Service warned Tuesday.
The storms are expected to affect northeast Georgia, upstate South Carolina and the piedmont and western North Carolina.
"Showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to return across the area this afternoon and evening," the NWS said in a hazardous weather outlook bulletin. "Some of the storms will become severe with damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado possible. Heavy rainfall is also expected with some of the storms leading to the potential for isolated flooding."

Skies are expected to clear by Wednesday, which is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 70. The sunshine will stick around through Thursday, but a chance of rain returns to the forecast Friday.
The weekend is expected to be sunny and pleasant with highs in the mid 60s.
