Iredell County Sheriff To Hold Teen Academy
The program is aimed at empowering teens as they encounter peer pressure, bullying and drugs.

STATESVILLE, NC — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is taking applications for its Teen Academy program aimed at empowering teenagers with problem solving skills as they face bullying, drugs and peer pressure.
“This program is meant to engage teens and help them learn how to handle problems they may face every day,” the sheriff’s office said. “We provide positive adult role models along with real life learning experiences to give teens an alternative.”
The program also encourages friendships between the teens and law enforcement, say organizers.
