Iredell Storms Could Come With Damaging Winds: Forecast
Rain is expected throughout the day Wednesday, and could include some hazardous weather, the National Weather Service warned.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Rain is expected throughout the day in Iredell County Wednesday, and could include some hazardous weather, the National Weather Service warned.
"A late season strong cold front is forecast to push through the area this afternoon aiding in the development of numerous showers and thunderstorms," NWS said in a hazardous weather outlook bulletin. "A few of these storms may be severe producing damaging wind gusts."
Soggy conditions are set to clear up by Thursday, however, temperatures will drop. Highs for the rest of the week will remain in the 50s.

Warmer springtime temperatures return in time for Easter Sunday, when the high will be in the low 70s.

Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then rain likely, mainly between midnight and 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 41. Southwest wind 7 to 14 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
