Iron Thunder Saloon, Jet’s Pizza: What Kitchen Inspections Found
An inspection at area Mooresville kitchens found violations, such as dirty pans and old food. Here's how the restaurants scored.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Health inspectors recently graded nine Mooresville area restaurant kitchens and found violations ranging from dirty pizza pans and food slicers to two-week old food in need of discarding, according to health inspection reports.

A June 21 inspection report of the kitchen at Jet’s Pizza documented eight violations, including build up on the outside of pizza pans and inside clean dishes, and “residue and debris still adhering to the pepper dicer, the interior of the lettuce spinner and several plastic pans on the clean dish shelves.”

An inspection at Iron Thunder Saloon and Grill on June 24 found nine violations, which included dirty metal pans, ladles, scoops and a slicer blade; no chemical sanitizer used in the three-compartment sink or dispensed in its warewashing equipment; and two-week old queso and chicken salad mix in the walk-in cooler that needed to be discarded.
