‘Legendary Rock Supergroup’ The Hit Men To Perform In Mooresville
The Musicians Hall of Fame honorees will perform the first show of the indoor concert series this year at the Charles Mack Citizen Center.
MOORESVILLE, NC — “The Hit Men: The Legendary Rock Supergroup,” are headed to Mooresville, and will perform the first show of the indoor concert series this year at the Charles Mack Citizen Center Nov. 1.
Here’s what organizers say about the event:
“The lively show will bring together a supergroup of Musicians Hall of Fame honorees who are former members of Journey, Foreigner, Toto, Cheap Trick, 3 Dog Night and The Rascals. They have performed with Elton John, Cat Stevens, Frankie Valli, Jim Croce, Rod Stewart, Three Dog Night, The Rascals, The Turtles, Carly Simon, and more. Lee Shapiro, Jimmy Ryan, Jeff Ganz, Russ Velazquez, and Steve Murphy either played, sang or performed with the artists on some of their top hits like “Who Loves You,” “Oh What a Night,” "You're So Vain," “The Loco-motion,” “Mony Mony,” and “Joy to the World.”
This April, “The Hit Men: The Legendary Rock Supergroup” became recipients of the first-ever “Road Warrior Award” from the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. This prestigious, Nashville-based organization honors talented, but often overlooked, musicians who played on the greatest recordings of all time. The award acknowledges The Hit Men’s “years of dedication to the music, and the countless miles … that they have traveled in delivering so many hits throughout the world.”
Playing the classic songs we all know and love and giving us a glimpse of the road with backstage stories never told until today, a “The Hit Men: The Legendary Rock Supergroup” show is like no other. They combine music and memories, alongside multimedia footage and visuals, to relive the magic they created on stages around the world and in recording studios with some of the greatest and most famous of rock royalty.
