Italian Hose Maker To Spend $25.6 Million For HQ In Mooresville

FITT USA's new $25.6 million headquarters in Mooresville is expected to create more than 140 new jobs.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Italian hose manufacturer FITT Group is building its U.S. headquarters in Mooresville, a move that's expected to create 144 new jobs, the company announced Wednesday.

“Opening our facility in Iredell County and North Carolina was the right decision,” Alessandro Mezzalira, president and CEO of FITT Group, said in a statement. “The environment is conducive to establishing a business with a skilled workforce, superior location, and welcoming community has made the processes easy.”

FITT Group, which makes and sells pipes, hoses and conduits, sells its products through Lowe's, Ace, The Home Depot, Gro Group, Do It Best and Meijer.

The company will operate under the name FITT USA, and said it plans to invest $25.6 million in the new headquarters, which will be located at 234 Overhill Drive in the Mooresville Business Park East complex.

Local incentives helped lure FITT USA to Mooresville. The company will receive a Discretionary Economic Incentive Grant from the Town of Mooresville, which is worth up to $551,000 over a five-year period.

"The board is pleased to stimulate new jobs and capital investment for Iredell County," Mooresville Mayor Miles Atkins said in a statement. "Economic development is vital for our community, providing citizens with jobs as well as increasing our tax base, allowing us to improve our schools, public safety, and quality of life."
