Lowe's To Hire 50,000 For Positions In NC, Throughout US

Lowe's is hosting a National Hiring Day on May 4, and said applicants will have the opportunity to receive an on-the-spot job offer.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Lowe's Companies will soon begin a hiring spree, hiring more than 50,000 workers to staff its home improvement stores throughout North Carolina and the country, the Mooresville-based home improvement giant announced.

The new jobs, which will range from full-time, part-time and seasonal, represent about a 17 percent increase to its current national workforce of 300,000 employees.

Lowe's is hosting a National Hiring Day Tuesday, May 4 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at all its stores. There, applicants will have the opportunity to meet hiring managers, and receive on-the-spot job offers, the company said.

"National Hiring Day has been a simple and convenient way for any job seeker to apply for an open role, get to know us and begin a career with Lowe's," Janice Dupré, Lowe's executive vice president of human resources, said in a statement.

Positions available for qualified applicants 18-years-old or older include: cashiers, retail associates, stockers and receivers, merchandising service associates, drivers, supervisors and Pro sales roles.
