Mooresville Company Gives $200K To Employees During Holiday Party

Mooresville-based POWERHOME SOLAR gave away cash prizes during a recent virtual company party attended by more than 1,400 workers.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A Mooresville-based company recently closed out the year by giving away $200,000 to employees during its corporate holiday party.

POWERHOME SOLAR hosted a virtual company holiday party Saturday, Dec. 12, and said 1,400 of its 1,700 employees based in 10 markets logged on to join. During the festivities, the solar panel company awarded more than two dozen cash prizes to "celebrate the company's success and thank and recognize employees' hard work and dedication amid the COVID-19 pandemic," the company said in a statement.

During the event, the company gave away 11 prizes of $2,500, five prizes of $10,000 and five grand prizes of $25,000, along with four other prizes ranging from $1,000 to $2,400.
“2020 provided us with significant challenges, but we didn’t quit or let the pandemic take us down,” company CEO Jayson Waller said.

“We bonded together, we found ways to succeed and our work family has doubled in one of the most trying years in U.S. history," Waller said. "We wanted to give back to our employees, and the night couldn’t have been better, and the best part was seeing the joy on the faces of our winners.”
