Mooresville Easter Weekend: Here's When Rain Will Begin

MOORESVILLE, NC — The end of the work week in the Lake Norman region will be filled with sunny skies, and warm, spring-like temperatures, but conditions will likely change by Easter Sunday, according to National Weather Service forecasters.

Get your outdoor egg hunts in early. Rain is set to begin in the greater Charlotte metro Saturday evening, with showers and possible thunderstorms expected throughout the day Sunday.

Thursday and Friday are expected to be breezy, with gusts reaching as high as 23 mph, NWS said.

Temperatures are also expected to cool off by the weekend. While Thursday's high will hover near 80, the next three days will remain in the 60s. Friday, the low is expected to dip to about 40.
