Mooresville Man Faces Charges For Drugs, Shooting Into A Car
William Troy Martin, 32, of Mooresville told deputies he fired a shotgun during a fight with his girlfriend's father.
MOORESVILLE, NC — A Mooresville couple is facing numerous felony drug charges, including the sale of methamphetamine, following an incident where a shotgun was fired into an occupied vehicle during an argument Monday, according to Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
The April 5 incident occurred in the 1200 block of Shearers Road in Mooresville. ICSO received an emergency call from the victim, who reported that the suspect — identified as William Troy Martin, 32 — fired a firearm into their vehicle.
"The victims in the incident managed to get away," and waited for deputies in the parking lot of Dollar General, located a short distance from the home.

Deputies responded to the resident and spoke to Martin, who told them "he had fired a shotgun outside of the residence after a short altercation with the father of his girlfriend."
The victim's vehicle was struck twice during the incident, ICSO said.

Martin was taken into custody and deputies obtained a search warrant for his home.
"While executing the search warrant, several firearms were seized along with Methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia associated with packaging and sales of Methamphetamine," ICSO said.
Martin was charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon; felony
discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle; felony possession with intent to sell or
deliver methamphetamine; misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling for the sale or use of
methamphetamine; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $95,000 secured bond.
Candice Danielle Rogers, 32 and of the same residence, was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine; misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling for the sale or use of methamphetamine; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond.
