Mooresville Town Board To Meet Virtually May 4: Details

Mooresville's town board meeting is set for Monday, May 4 and will be held online. Here's how you can watch and submit questions.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Due to North Carolina's current stay-at-home order put in place to slow the spread of novel coronavirus, the Town of Mooresville will hold its next upcoming board meeting online the evening of Monday, May 4.

The town's Agenda Briefing will also be held online Friday, May 1 at 8:30 a.m., the town said.

As of Monday evening, six coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Iredell County, and at least 104 cases had been confirmed, according to the Iredell County Heath Department.

Statewide, 342 deaths were reported due to the new coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, with at least 9,568 cases confirmed in North Carolina, state public health officials said Tuesday morning.

"The purpose of these meetings is to provide the Board of Commissioners with an opportunity to address town staff and ask questions regarding agenda items and presentations that will be heard during the Regular Meetings, held on the first and third Mondays of each month. Such items will include presentations, consent agenda items and regular agenda items," the town said.

"If you would like to submit a comment to be read during the Public Comment portion of the meeting, please email your requests to publiccomment@mooresvillenc.gov," the town said. "Please note that all comments will need to adhere to the 3-minute time limit when they are read."
