MOORESVILLE, NC — The Town of Mooresville will hold a board meeting online the evening of Monday, April 20.

There are at least 77 people confirmed to have novel coronavirus and two related deaths in Iredell County, county health officials said Thursday afternoon. The development comes as the new coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, increased to 5,465 cases in North Carolina Thursday, present in 93 of the state's 100 counties.

"In order to comply with the Stay-At-Home Executive Order from Governor Roy Cooper, and to continue following outlined recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the [North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services], the upcoming board meeting will be held electronically," the town said Friday.
