Mule, Nigerian Goat Heading To County’s Stray Livestock Auction

The mule and goat were picked up as strays in the county and will be auctioned off July 24 at the Iredell County Animal Shelter.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Animal lovers in the market for a mule or a Nigerian dwarf goat, you’re in luck. A brown male mule and a black and white male goat that were found wandering the county as strays will be auctioned off July 24.

The July 24 stray livestock auction will be conducted by the Iredell County Animal Control and held at 3 p.m. at the county animal shelter, located at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville.

According to officials, the mule has no brands and was found on Lundy Road off Fairmont Road in Olin.

The Nigerian dwarf goat also has no brands, but was wearing a red and orange collar. He was found on Mills Forest Lane off Cornelius Road near Mooresville.
