Neighborhood Improvements Earn Mooresville Family Town Award

MOORESVILLE, NC — A Mooresville family's efforts sprucing up outdoor spaces has earned them an award from the Town of Mooresville.

The town's Beautification Committee cited Jessica and Kevin Obney's "hard work and efforts in visually improving their neighborhood" by presenting them with a Beautification Award, the town said Thursday.

"The Obneys, along with their dog, Brandy, live at 406 Magnolia Street. Beautification Committee member Hannah Whitlow was on hand to present the award to the recipients," the town said.

Says the Town of Mooresville:
"The purpose of the Beautification Committee is to implement, recommend and recognize actions that beautify and enhance the Town of Mooresville and its quality of life. The committee consists of members that are residents of the Town or whose place of business lies within the corporate limits of the Town."
