The Daily Meal named the Fearrington House Restaurant in Pittsboro the most expensive dining establishment in our state.
Says The Daily Meal, “Open since 1980 inside the AAA Five Diamond-rated Fearrington House Inn, Fearrington House Restaurant offers a seasonal fine dining New American menu with three ($95) or four ($115) courses, a seven-course chef’s tasting ($150) and a seven-course vegetarian tasting menu ($125).”

What kind of gourmet meal will that buy? Fearrington House’ menu is filled with tasty options, from sweet potato soup with caramelized chocolate, and miso glazed salmon with buttermilk and dill to prosciutto wrapped quail with sunchoke custard and rabbit with cherries.
The report also listed Masa in New York City, which costs patrons $595 per person before drinks and tax for its world-famous sushi, and Urasawa in Los Angeles, which will set you back $450 per person for the Michelin-rated Japanese food.
